Previous The Kitist Next

With the precision of a surgeon and the skill of a sculptor
he carves the sky with his kites into symmetrical forms,
Perfect in time and space.
And as I see the wind as a tool of flight, he sees it as a canvas
to present to the birds his interpretation of them and to the spectators
his desire to be one of them.
Try as we may to find our own flight through paying homage
to the gift of flight contesting his inability
he has no need to try.

There is no gift greater than that of inspiration
Daniel Kauffman, Vancouver BC.1997
